SAMPLE LYRICS:

She's got a high potential and a low resistance point
She's got a high potential and a low resistance point
I have to be so careful that gal might blow up the joint

Yea, she heats my room
She lights my light
She starts my motor and it runs all night.

She's my ATOMIC BABY
Yea, she's my ATOMIC BABY
She's my ATOMIC BABY and I have to handle her with care.

Earlier, Milburn recorded another minor Atomic song on Aladdin Records (also unissued) called NICKEL PLATED BABY [Recorded April 26, 1947].

SAMPLE LYRICS:

She's a nickel plated baby and she loves to have her fun
She's a nickel plated baby and she loves to have her fun
She can do more damage than five ATOMIC Bombs.

Amos Milburn was born April 1, 1927 and was a prolific R & B pianist/writer/singer known for risque boogies ("It's a Married Woman") and alcoholic anthems ("Bad, Bad Whiskey") which he recorded for juke box consumption during his hey day after World War II. True to the blues tradition, Milburn led a rough and tumble life which ended January 3, 1980, a result of alchoholism. A great number of this gifted artist's recordings (Atomic and otherwise) are just now being reissued.
