TITLE: THIS IS NOT A TEST

THIS IS NOT A TEST

DIRECTOR: Frederic Gadette
YEAR: 1962

Various motorists (a trucker, a businessman, a floozy, a hipster, an old codger, etc.) are stopped by a highway patrolman (Seamon Glass) who has been notified that World War III is about to start. Before the missiles actually start landing, the group bickers over how to prepare for the attack. A surprisingly effective low budget psychodrama. And, of course, there are looters.

ATOMIC HYGIENE: Cold War Short Films
OPERATION ABOLITION
This infamous red scare film was put together from television newsreel footage of the May 1960 House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) hearings in San Francisco, its attendant student protests, and the riotous police action (fire hoses used on City Hall protesters) that followed.
